The five-stage filtration consists of a pre-filter,
electrostatic device and dust collector. It uses an
electrostatic field to make air-borne particulates above
charged. The activated carbon filter consist of a vast
system of pores of very small size. These pores are
absorbent, forming a strong chemical bond/attraction to
odorous, gaseous substances such as formaldehyde, benzene,
ammonia, volatile organic compounds.
The ION310 also features a photo-catalyst filter. Photo-
catalytic oxidation occurs when you combine UV rays with a
TiO2 (titanium oxide) coated filter.
